On August 27th, 2009, my research into subliminal messages and subconscious mind control led me to discover this subliminal message & associated iconography on the Facebook Sign-in page. This illicit subliminal message has the potential to affect millions of people per day. ( See graphic below )
This is a classic example of subversive sexual mind & mood control, yet it not considered a criminal violation of the human conscious in the United Stated. As to the positive or negative nature of the effects brought on my subliminal messages, a Federal Courts ruling on the issue stated:
The scientific research presented...( regarding the effects of subliminal messages ) ...showed no behavioral effects other than anxiety, distress or tension." (Vance v. Judas Priest, 1990)
Anxiety, distress and tension...all of which are naturally eased by "connecting & sharing" with friends and associates...just as one experiences similar feelings of relief in various forms of expressive psychological therapy. Therefore, by intentionally or unintentionally inducing anxiety, distress and tension in Facebook users through subliminal messages prior to accessing their personal Facebook homepage and then entering into the social environment, Facebook has potentially primed your subconscious for a heightened sense of satisfaction with their online service, as well as possible feelings of addiction to the service or a compulsion to use it.
( Please note that these are not accusations against Facebook, they are merely observations of their currently featured graphics, a comparison to common subliminal advertising techniques and hypothetical analysis based on medical & legal findings. Personally, I use Facebook everyday and recommend it to all my friends and associates who don't. - wkd )
