ALTERNATIVE MEDIA
Alternative media are newspapers, radio, television, movies, Internet, etc... which are alternatives to the corporate or government-owned mass media.
Proponents of alternative media argue that the mainstream media are biased. As a result of such bias and the false-following that it generates amogst the public, advocacy journalism tends to be a strong component of alternative media.
